James Keys and Tunde Ogunlana react to a recent interview of Ken Burns by Lex Pryor of the Ringer which discussed Burns’ new documentary, “the American Revolution,” and gave some interesting insight into how Burns was able to avoid being a prisoner of the political moment when making this documentary over the last decade, and also how Burns was able to provide more context and depth to the origin story of the United States as well as the heroes and villains of the story.
